The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) awarded Philips Medical Systems $77,172,660 for a one-year contract that covers patient monitoring systems, subsystems, accessories, consumables, spare/repair parts and training.
It was the seventh time the DOD exercised a one-year option in a contract with Philips. There are two more option years, according to the DOD’s news release.
Philips will work with the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies. The company is expected to complete the contract by March 29, 2017.
Earlier this month, Philips announced that its digital pathology solutions had been certified for compliance with DOD security requirements.
