Michael G. Hunt, DO., and Richard Schreiber, MD, have been selected as 2014 AMDIS Award winners.
Hunt is currently CMO/CMIO at St. Vincent Health Partners in Bridgeport, Conn. Prior to that he served as CMIO at the Sisters of Mercy Health System in St. Louis. He is board-certified in pediatrics, completing his internship and residency in pediatrics at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, and earned a master’s degree in medical informatics at Northwestern University.
Schreiber is CMIO at Holy Spirit Health System in Camp Hill, Penn., and a board-certified internist and geriatrician.
The AMDIS awards honor individuals and/or organizations who have successfully applied information systems and computer technology into the practice of medicine. Hunt and Schreiber will be honored at AMDIS’s 23rd Annual Physician Computer Connection Symposium in Ojai, Calif., June 17-20.
