The University of Maryland Medical Center has won two 2016 Intelligent Health Association (IHA) Awards after being nominated by Extension Healthcare, a Fort Wayne, Ind.-based hospital alarm management company.
The two awards were the IHA 2016 Award for Improving Patient Care and Health Delivery and the 2016 Intelligent Health Grand Award, and both are scheduled to be presented at HIMSS 2016 in Las Vegas. Colleen Driscoll, MD, assistant professor at the University of Maryland Hospital for Children, will accept the awards on behalf of the medical center.
The IHA Awards first began in 2012 and focus on three main categories: Improving Patient Care and Health Delivery, Innovative Healthcare, and Comprehensive Integration. More information on the awards can be read on the IHA website.
